They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day but for me it is my favorite. I never skip breakfast, even if Im eating eggs at noon. Who’s gonna stop me from serving up bacon? Thought so. Often times food choices and meal prepping seems like a burden because you have to restrict yourself from eating what you crave. However, I choose to find ways around that. There’s a birdie going around telling you to stay away from bread, when bread in fact does have numerous nutritional value. Whole grain breads contain nutritional fiber that helps maintain cholesterol and a healthy body weight. The Bagel Chicken Sandwich is one of my go to breakfast options. It consists of Dave’s Kill Bread Epic Everything Bagel, non-dairy pepper jack cheese, avocado, thin-sliced chicken breast, one slice of turkey bacon, and one fried egg. This meal high in protein, power packed with whole grains and most importantly, tasty!

I don’t always have the time to prepare breakfast in the morning, but I have some solutions to my busy schedule. The above breakfast options can be made the night prior or quickly the morning of in 5-10 minutes. Smoothies can be any combination of your choice containing a liquid(milk or juice), a base (fruits or vegetables, and sometimes a chill factor (ice). You can also add additional ingredients that are tailored to your weight goals such as protein (peanut butter or whey). Oatmeal is another one of my favorite breakfast options that can be made quickly over the stove or in the microwave. Lastly, yogurt! Yogurt is one of the best kept secrets in a diet. You can add it to your smoothie or pair it with a fruit to get the ultimate fulfillment.
